Denis Burke
Founder and Head of Isshinkai Aikido, and author of Purpose & Practice, Denis is a senior apprentice-served Aikido teacher, some say Master. In the wider world he’s a speaker and learning coach who is passionate about enablement and empowerment based on concrete learning and development; i.e., not just motivational pep-talking, but facilitated learning that leads to learning and developing at an accelerated rate. He also leads an innovative manufacturing company in the marine leisure sector.
Denis is energised by creativity and value creation. He helps people increase a realistic belief in themselves by arranging direct experiences that are always surprising. He has worked with thousands of young people, winning sports performers and business leaders. In his approach he helps people find their vision, see possibilities they might dare to imagine and know what choices will release their greatest potential. He helps people see what’s really going on in their organisations and how to work towards better sustainable performance.
